How we make our water!
Alkaline 101: The pH Scale
Alkalinity in water is tested using the pH scale. The scale is a measurement from 1-14. 7 is neutral. Any water with a measurement greater than 7 is considered ALKALINE. Any water with a measurement lower than 7 is considered acidic. Here in New Braunfels, the CITY WATER as it is received in your home is generally between 7.5 an 8.5, so water coming in from your kitchen sink is an alkaline water.
Our Process
At The Water Bar, our process starts by taking the CITY WATER and sending it through a reverse osmosis process that removes 99% of ALL contaminants from the water, then we add back into the water the alkaline minerals which is a cocktail of sodium hydroxide, potassium hydroxide, calcium hydroxide, magnesium hydroxide, and lye. The final product is the best water in New Braunfels with an average pH level of 9.9! We test it daily. The higher the pH of the water the faster it travels through your body. At the very least, alkaline water is an antioxidant. Remember to STAY HYDRATED!
FILLING STATION & FAUCETS & OZONE SANITIZING BOTTLE RINSE
New Braunfels ONLY complete bottle sanitizer… not just clean… SANITIZED!
RO HIGH PRESSURE PUMP
Responsible for creating the high pressure needed for efficient RO membrane operation. This helps in the initial reverse osmosis stage before filtering and alkalinization.
5 MICRON FILTER
Removes particles between 20-5 microns (smaller particles) and any debris not captured by the first 2 filters.
ULTRAVIOLET DISINFECTION
UV light disinfects by killing possible growth in the RO water after leaving the Post Carbon filter and after leaving the Alkaline filer. We implement UV disinfection at 2 different points in the filtering process!
STORAGE TANKS
Each 300 gallons. Each tank equipped with an ozone injection line to reduce growth of organic substances that would potentially build up inside. This keeps storage of our precious alkaline water clean and pure, ready for dispensing.
